Caracas, Dec 27 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that his government is currently working to strengthen cooperation relations between Latin America and the Arab countries.

“I think we can do many things in the years to come,” Maduro said and claimed that a series of initiatives will be resumed in 2022 to activate political and economic assistance mechanisms between both regions.

During an exclusive interview with Al Mayadeen TV channel, the president announced that he will travel to Iran soon, in response to an invitation by President Ebrahim Raisi to meet him personally.

He also called to support and follow up the situation in Palestine, Syria and Iran itself, victims of crimes every day, such as the murder of children and young people.

On the other hand, he ratified his support for the Syrian people and President Bashar al-Assad, whom he described as a hero and brave man who has had to endure the crimes of a war.

Maduro said that the Syrian army, along with its people and al-Assad, will make the country flourish again, and the Arab world will be amazed at it.

He also praised the loyalty of Iranian General Qassem Suleimani, whom he had the chance to meet after offering his support to the Bolivarian Revolution.
