Paris, May 1 (Prensa Latina) The Coordinating Committee of Cuban residents in France has condemned the announcement made by the US Government to activate Title III of Helms-Burton Act, diplomatic sources reported on Wednesday.
The group said in a statement that 'this, along with other new measures announced by the (Donald) Trump administration, is a flagrant violation of the Cuban people's human rights and tightens the blockade imposed on our country by the United States for almost 60 years.'
According to the text, Cuban residents in France joined the Cuban people to denounce Washington's policy, which is rejected every year by the international community at the United Nations General Assembly.
The recent measures announced by US National Security Adviser John Bolton demonstrate that the Monroe Doctrine continues to set the way of US policy on Cuba, they stated.
'The Coordinating Committee of Cuban residents in France reaffirms its strongest support for the Cuban Government and people, in defense of our principles and our right to self-determination,' the organization said.
