Raul Castro Receives the President of Equatorial Guinea

The President of the Cuban Councils of State and Ministers, Raul Castro Ruz, met in Monday afternoon with Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, his counterpart from the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, who is on an official visit to the Caribbean nation.
In a cordial atmosphere, the two leaders highlighted the fraternal relations between the two countries and ratified the willingness to continue strengthening and diversifying cooperation bonds. Likewise, they spoke about other topics on the international agenda, with special emphasis on the dangers posed by the expansion of the Ebola fever virus in Western Africa.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Alejandro Evuna Owono Asungono, Minister of the Presidency in Charge of Missions; Agapito Mba Mokuy, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; and Lourdes Mba Ayecaba, ambassador of Equatorial Guinea.
Also participating in the meeting, for Cuba, were Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers; Rogelio Sierra, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Pedro Felix Doña, Cuba's ambassador to that African nation.
