Brussels, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuban dancer and choreographer Menia Martínez on Wednesday advocated from Belgium for the unity of all Cuban people, who live in Cuba and abroad, against the economic, commercial and financial US blockade.
In an interview with Prensa Latina, Menia Martínez, who also serves as president of the Association of Cuban Residents in Belgium (CubaBel) considered this is not the time to divide energies or naively fall into the manipulation campaigns of those who seek to harm their own country, alluding to a small group of people who play along with Washington's aggressions.
Our priority is to fight the US blockade, and that must be the united message of all Cubans, when a change in the US administration is drawing near, with the arrival of Joe Biden, thus hoping rapprochement and decreasing hostility, she noted.
According to Martínez, it is reprehensible that a small sector tries to use the Cuban culture to attack the Revolution.
Human Rights Day is the best time to ratify our support for Cuba and also demand to lift the US blockade because there is no greater violation of human rights than this unjust blockade, she stressed.
