Havana, Nov 3 (Prensa Latina) The number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 in Cuba today rises to more than seven thousand, after 65 new cases from 10 provinces of this Caribbean nation were reported in the last 24 hours.
 
According to official information issued by the Ministry of Public Health, 7,335 people have been diagnosed with the disease in the largest of the Antilles, since March 11 when the first cases were known.

The new patients with the SARS-CoV-2 virus are all Cubans, 47 of them contacts of confirmed cases and 18 with a source of infection abroad.

They reside in the provinces of Pinar del Río (15), Havana (3), Sancti Spíritus (3), Ciego de Ávila (25) and Camagüey (1); while the imported cases belong to Granma (6), La Tunas (2), Holguín (4), Santiago de Cuba (2) and Guantánamo (4).

Of the 65 new patients, 92.2 percent (60) were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.

A total of 530 patients remain admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 (active cases), of them 525 with stable clinical evolution, one in serious condition and four critical.

In the last 24 hours, 56 patients were discharged from hospital, for which there are already 6,374 total people recovered from the pandemic in this Caribbean nation.

The day before, 8,997 diagnostic tests were studied throughout the national territory to detect the presence of the virus, which brings to 866,228 the total of samples taken since the first cases were known in this country.
