Brasilia, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The National Council of Prosecutors (CNMP) of Brazil will analyze today an administrative disciplinary process against prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol, who recently resigned as coordinator of the judicial operation Lava Jato of the southern city of Parana.

This lawsuit is related to the publication made by Dallagnol on his Twitter social network profile about Senator Renan Calheiros.

According to the information, if Calheiros is elected to the presidency of the Senate, there would be difficulties in approving an anti-corruption reform.

In response to the allegations, the congressman affirmed that the prosecutor politically acted against his election as head of the Senate in 2019.

On August 17, Judge Celso de Mello, of the Federal Supreme Court, suspended the two actions that would be analyzed in the CNMP the next day.

Another case is a request for action filed by Senator Katia Abreu who asked for the dismissal, in the public interest, of the prosecutor of the Lava Jato working group.

For his part, on September 4, Judge Gilmar Mendes ordered the suspension of all effects of De Mello's decision, arguing that he is doing so because the deadline for the return of his colleague (on medical leave) is September 11, when the sanction in the Calheiros case could have been prescribed.

Recently, Dallagnol resigned from his position for family reasons, as confirmed in a video posted on social networks.

He argued that he was leaving Lava Jato to devote himself to his family' s health issues, especially those of his 1 year and 10 month old daughter.
