Hanoi, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The northern Vietnamese province of Dien Bien announced today a poster contest on brotherhood with Cuba on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The works, without restrictions of colors or forms of expression, should reflect the exemplary nature of the historical links between the two nations and the struggles of the Cuban people for independence and freedom.

Children between 15 and 6 years old can participate in the competition, which is open until October 31st. Especially those who study in art clubs in primary and secondary schools have been invited to participate.

Vietnam and Cuba established diplomatic relations on December 2, 1960 and planned an extensive program of commemorative activities, which they limited because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But according to the island's ambassador here, Lianys Torres, that circumstance will not prevent the celebrations from being on the level of the occasion.

In fact, the two countries are reaffirming their friendship with joint actions in the face of the new coronavirus.
