Maduro praises collective effort for Venezuelans' health

Caracas, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro praised on Monday the collective effort deployed in the country to guarantee the health of the people in the face of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

On Twitter, the president highlighted the high balance of recoveries from Covid-19 disease, which amounts to 42,788, equivalent to around 80 percent of the total of Covid-19 cases.

'There are thousands of testimonies from people who have overcome Covid-19. Their joy is our joy because we know that we are on the right path. It is a collective, heroic and immense effort to care for and protect the health of the people,' the head of State stressed on Twitter.

Venezuela's government reported 1,124 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, increasing to 53,289 afflicted in the country since the onset of the global health emergency.

Likewise, the Venezuelan authorities registered 428 deaths so far, for a lethality of less than one percent of the total of affected by Covid-19 in the country, one of the lowest in the world.
