In France, the US blockade against Cuba is described as criminal

Paris, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) The leader of the French Communist Party (PCF), Laurent Perea, called this Tuesday the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba as murderer and unacceptable and demanded its immediate lifting.

We cannot accept that this aggression and interference continues, that is why we, the French communists, are fighting together with the solidarity associations for the blockade to end, the member of the National Bureau of the organization, in charge of relations with Latin America, stated in an interview with Prensa Latina.

According to Perea, in the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the siege applied by Washington for 60 years to try to surrender the island is even more repugnant.

The politician considered it a priority to strengthen the unity of those in France, Europe and the world who oppose a blockade intensified by the administration of President Donald Trump with measures such as the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, aimed at depriving the Caribbean country of foreign investment necessary for its development.

We must expand our struggle with French, European and international solidarity, because there are still governments in Europe and elsewhere that do not oppose the interference of Trump and U.S. imperialism, warned the PCF leader.
