Fighting Covid-19, permanent theme in ExpoCuba

Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) The confrontation in Cuba of SARC-CoV-2, which caused the Covid-19, will be the main topic at the Permanent Exhibition of ExpoCuba, the largest fairground in Cuba, said this Thursday its Director General, Pedro Abreu.

In an exclusive interview with Prensa Latina, Abreu announced that next Saturday the exhibition called 'The Battle of Cuba against Covid-19' will be inaugurated there.

He pointed out that the presentation will take place before national and foreign visitors in the central pavilion of the facility, where the economic, social and scientific-technical achievements of the country are shown.

He noted that the exhibition will collect in physical samples, photos, texts and testimonies of the work of health workers and the Cuban people as a whole.

He said that in this way, nationals and foreigners will know since the island began to prepare for the current global pandemic (early 2020) until the Temporary Working Group against Covid-19, led by Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel, indicated to begin the recovery phase, which in Havana is in its first stage.

Abreu stressed that the international cooperation actions against Covid-19 of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics or Henry Reeve Brigade, created in 2005 by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will have a special place in the Central Pavilion.
