In the past week, CARICOM nations have increased their recoveries by over 1,000 and Barbados joined the group of countries without active cases to advance the gradual reopening of their economies.

According to the Caricom Today website, Haiti is the epicenter of the pandemic in the Caribbean area, followed by Suriname (280), Jamaica (128) and Guyana (119) as the nations with the highest number of active cases.

The Bahamas and Bermuda have reduced active patients to eight and two in the past few days, respectively; meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda, Turks and Caicos Islands and Trinidad and Tobago show 40, 16 and nine cases carrying the novel coronavirus, respectively.
