The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, held a fraternal and sincere meeting with the executive vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, as confirmed today the president himself on the social networks.

In his Twitter account, the Cuban head of state also said that both peoples and governments do not surrender to the threats of the empire, in clear allusion to the United States media, political and economic offensive against both nations.

The authorities of Caracas and Havana face the siege of the US government, representative of threats, coercive measures, actions to strengthen the blockade and a strong campaign to attempt to discredit the Cuban and Bolivarian revolutions.

Washington also intends to torpedo the ties between Cuba and Venezuela under the pretext that they constitute a supposed threat to the national security of the northern country;

However, experts believe that it is only a justification for the White House to increase its aggressiveness against the peoples of the Caribbean and Latin American nations.

The governments of Cuba and Venezuela agree on the position of defending their bilateral ties and the independence of their peoples from what they say is a United States plan to seize the resources of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as dominate the region.
