President Miguel Diaz-Canel and the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raul Castro, were present this Saturday at the plenary session of the Parliament where the MPs analyzed the bills of Electoral Law, National Symbols and Fishing.

The analyses are part of the third ordinary session of the 9th Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), preceded by the work of its 10 commissions to debate the significance of the aforementioned opinions.

Early in the week, Miguel Diaz-Canel said the rules will broaden the spectrum to extend the legislative exercise to support the Constitution approved last February 24.

The Electoral bill is a mandate emanating from the Magna Carta and includes as a novelty the variation in the amount of the members of the Council of State.

For its part, the Ministry of Fisheries recognized economic actors emerged in the process of updating the Cuban model as non-state, while the National Symbols flexibilizes the use of these while maintaining respect.

If approved in plenary, these projects will expand the new Constitution supported by the majority of citizens in popular referendum.

On Friday, the MPs studied the details of the three bills in various working groups at the Convention Center in Havana.
